Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 is the latest version of the popular Konami football game on Windows. Although PES 2013 looks like Pro Evoultion Soccer 2012, it includes some subtle changes designed to improve the game and graphics.

The game in Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 is more manual than the previous version, which makes it look like a proper football simulation, rather than an arcade style at PES 2012. While it looks like some of the elements that FIFA 12 is really inspired by, this is not a bad thing.

The rigorous control system for PES 2012 has been revised for Pro Evolution Soccer 2013. Konami developers are calling for a new management system, PES FullControl. There is a new dynamic first touch feature, where players can hold the ball with the R2 button to gain instant control of the ball.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 offers hands-on passes, and first-person photography is introduced for the first time, allowing you to change your height and strength. FullControl also improves dribbling, slows down player speed and allows players to add different styles to their close controls with the R2 button.
The manual adjustment of the FullControl system in Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 definitely provides an enhanced gaming experience, which PES fans will certainly experience. However, beginners can still get up and play games without problems.
The tactical screen from the previous version also didn’t add up – and it still feels a bit rough. That said, the game-changing strategy was made much cooler by the coaches appearing in a small box in the corner of the screen to scream directions when you called.
There are still some performances in Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 that make it very easy to score. For example, you can still defend the defense with long ball / chip combinations through.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 is focused on improving player equality so that players in the game behave like their real counterparts – a system called ‘PlayerID’ by developers. Celebrity players will run, knock, trap, move the ball and celebrate as they actually do.
In terms of players, PES 2013 is the closest we’ve seen to a football game – better than FIFA 12. The overall graphics of Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 are great, from slick team entrances to kit details and shoes.
Unfortunately, the gameplay animations in Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 are spot on. The way players turn is awkward and unrealistic and the goalkeeper’s draft is exaggerated and absurd. Improvements to goalkeepers from previous versions don’t seem to work at all – goals actually look worse than ever!
The Impact Player Engine in Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 is exciting; you notice how the players are shaking each other and how it affects your movement (freedom). But it still lags behind FIFA’s engine when it comes to collision animation.
